Craftsmanship

Made slowly, on purpose

Reclaimed shell

Sourced from shell already discarded by the food industry, not harvested for jewelry alone.

Hand-sawn, hand-finished

Every piece is cut with a jeweler's fretsaw and polished by hand, so the shimmer runs true.

Made to order

We cut in small batches, so nothing sits waiting in a warehouse before it reaches you.

How Nacre Forms

Three years, laid down in silence

Every piece in every collection starts long before it reaches our workbench — inside the shell itself.

An irritant enters

A grain of sand or parasite slips inside the mollusk, and the shell begins to respond, coating it in defense.

Layers accumulate

Thin sheets of aragonite and conchiolin are laid down one at a time, thousands of layers over several years.

Light learns to bend

The stacked layers scatter light unevenly, producing the shifting, iridescent glow we cut and set as nacre.

Packaging

Every order ships in a plain package by default, with a pyramid gift box available as an option.
